Since I have the computer and stereo system in the car, which pull a good bit of power (as well as having 2 batteries in the car), I am going to be looking for a different alternator (I dont even have 1 good working alternator, thanks Z1!) with higher current output. I dont want to go the MR2 electric PS pump route because it is underpowered for the Z32 - the MR2 engine is in the back and the front of those cars is quite light in comparison to the Z. I may end up fabricating something with the stock pump and a plate for mounting a larger electric motor to drive the pump (belt driven) and locate it in the SMIC position. Electric motor will probably need to be about 1/2HP peak output. I just need an alternator with some balls to it. I'm thinking somewhere around the 240A to 260A range will do the trick for everything.
